Flanged Steel Pipe and Fittings

Flanged steel pipe is a pipe that butt welded with flanges at pipe ends. Flanged pipe is an important parts in rigid piping systems.

Flanged Pipe Fittings

Same as flanged steel pipe, flanged pipe fittings is the pipe fittings like elbow, tee, reducer ends welded with different type of flanges, like weld neck flange, flat flange, or slip on flange. Other than flanged pipe fittings, there are also other connection types like butt weld pipe fittings, socket weld pipe fittings.

Material types

Carbon flanged steel pipe: Material in carbon steel pipe in ASTM A53, A106, A333, API 5L, Flanged material in ASTM A105N, ASTM A350
Alloy flanged steel pipe: Alloy pipes in ASTM A335 P5, P9, P11, P22, P91 etc, flanged material in ASTM A182 F5, F9, F11, F22, F91
Stainless flanged steel pipe: Stainless pipes in ASTM A312, flanged material in 304/304L, 316/316L.

Flanged steel pipe is mainly installed above ground.
It is not good compatible with underground installation because of the rigidity of the joint. As the pressure bearing in underground structural, there are  unequal settlement or the stress will cause the deformation on the flanged connection which may break the pipeline.
